Streaming Audio

Spent the last hour or so getting a little frustrated. My app on my android pad states "app version 2.0" Trying to find if I have the latest version or not, or if I can do anything to solve my issue? Switch on pad, launch app uPnP\MinimServer\albums - scroll to album to play etc. all works fine BUT While listening screensaver closes screen down, or I press button on pad to do the same, when I press again to 'reignite' the screen and choose another album MOST of the time the little wheel just...

I have two internet connections. One has the Wifi disabled that I would like to use only for the Mu-So via a dedicated ethernet cable which I have plugged in. When I turn on the power the unit goes immediately into play mode on the last radio station that I have been listening to. However, the app on my phone no more recognizes the unit. The phone uses the other internet connection which has wifi. Is there some conflict? Can my phone app connect to the unit via one internet connection on...

Hi, I've only just noticed that the song and artist info is now of a larger font size and perfectly readable from a decent distance, finally addressing my main (the only one really) issue with the app. To the person/s responsible, you have my blessing to approach your manager and ask for a healthy pay rise. Just a little warning to people ... if you're wondering why your albums appear to be not playing gapless on NAC-N 272 ... **BEFORE** you spend an hour checking meta data, wondering what's been happening to settings in your UPnP server, rebooting things half a dozen times ... CHECK that you've not pressed "random" on the Naim App! DOH!

While I do think that the new uniti design deserve more credits than criticism, I wonder if am I the only one who is concerned about the front touch screen (made of some plastic/perspex) becoming a scratch magnet?

Hi all. I'm just starting with my new NAC-N272 and got some tracks on a USB. When I put it in it all looks a bit computery. Artists and albums come [surrounded by square brackets] because they're folders, I can see the hidden folders on the USB stick e.g. [System Volume Information] and I can see the file extensions on all the tracks (e.g. Thriller.flac. Same problem with N272 screen and on the mobile app. I didn't have this problem with my iPod 45 years ago so why now? Have searched the...

something strange seems to be happening with my 272, I do hope this doesn't' mean it needs a trip to Salisbury :( firslty the unit keeps muting itself randomly. Currently I have checked for other interference from say other remotes, lights etc., couldn't find an issue, so deactivated front logo mute in system options, so far a good few hours without issue. However, I now notice that without any input from myself the front panel randomly shows the input, before going back to 'sleep' setting...

I am trying to add music to the playlist however it says the maximum current playlist size of 500 has been reached. And yet there isn't anything in the playlist. How can i resolve this?

Just tried to listen to the first night via the BBC's new FLAC stream (via Firefox on a Mac Mini). Kept losing signal, so I switched to the BBCR3HD Internet radio stream, which worked fine without any interruptions (though I didn't think the sound was quite as good). Anyone else got any experience of this to report?

Hi, what is the easiest and most cost effective way to stream audio to an NS01? I don't think it can be done directly by this unit and if so what additional kit do I need? Do I need to obtain another piece of NAIM kit or are there cheaper alternatives that will produce decent results? Thanks in anticipation of any advice. Chris

May have the opportunity to get a used NDX, 5-6 years old, without bluetooth connectivity and no FM. Still don't know if the NDX has the new board. I have an sn2 + ndac now. I have 2 options actually, the second one is getting an nd5xs. Does the nd5 have aptx bluetooth connectivity? Would you suggest to get the NDX after all? Any other suggestions? Hi, I recently installed Uniti Core into my system and have a fairly sizable number of cd's ripped. My question is: How have Core owners here set up 'random play' for all tracks, not simply within a given cd? For instance, when I que Artists, then touch 3 dots on top right of screen, 'play all', and then hit crossed arrows on bottom, I am still only shuffling within a particular artists cd('s). I see the the other artists listed at the beginning of the process, but can't 'bring them in' to...

Hi, I'm finding it hard to believe that Spotify is ending support for the squeezebox range of products but if that's the case I'm going to have to look for a replacement (both kids have outlawed dropping spotify for an alternative). How do i add playlists to the DTC for Unitiserve?

I have a ND5XS and acesss files on my Synology NAS via Minimserver. It worked perfectly for months, then suddenly started to randomly stop playing and reinitialize back to the "select Upnp server" menu. It seems to occur more often while playing DSD files, but also happens while playing Flac files of all resolutions. I start an album on a loop and it will happen sometime between 1 and 5 loops.
