Streaming Audio

Is there a way to display all tracks in the Uniti so i can delete duplicate files. I dont want to go through each album and then use the search to find that duplicate.

I tried to rip a cover mount cd from the latest issue of Jazzwise. The US ripped the first track and ejected the cd. This happened again so I gave up. But I can't permanently delete the cd. If I delete using n-Serve or the app it vanishes but shows up again, if I refresh the cache, for example. If I access the US via Safari (web browser) and try to delete I get the message 'unable to delete the album'. I've tried rescanning and rebooting. I'm out of home and Hifi room due to renovations and currently my system is RPi ->SuperUniti -> Shahanian Arcs. I'm using the Roon upsampling to 24/192 smooth minimum phase 7th order CLANS. The idea being that a PC can do upsampling more effectively as it has more power to do so and the DSP/DAC skips this upsampling step Certainly sounds much better to my ears than straight through. I would say more analogue but I know better than that! Anyone else upsampling? .sjb

Do the Naim streamers convert the file to PCM Would there be a difference in streaming DSD files with Naim streamer versus connecting PC to DAC via USB ?

Just downloaded dbpoweramp to start ripping cd collection!!! Managed a couple of cds and followed online instructions on how to optimise set up. However I didn't scratch any discs and activate C2 support. Does anyone bother with this?

Upgraded to 5.7.1 on both iPhone 6 and iPad Air, and the app is almost unnavigable. Running NDX, and Unitiserve. Too many bugs to list here now, but the worst is that it will only add one track from upnp instead of a whole album. No option to choose between "play track" or "play from this track", or "queue next etc... Volume control works sometimes, but not all the time. Track scrolling, next track does not work. The best advice I can give is don't upgrade on all of your devices at once.

Just upgraded app to 2.1, Room name is 'NACN272-DAF8' but appears as IP (with NaimUniti beneath) at room select page I have re-entered the name and reset the app to no avail, I have a Mu-So and this appears with the correct name, i.e. Kitchen Appreciate it's a minor issue in the scheme of things but any ideas?

Hello, can i stream directly from TIDAL IOS app or PC version to UQ2 ? i found that can stream only through naim app, but native tidal has better usability. Don't understand why Tidal doesn't have this option when Spotify does ? Thanks !

Hi all, I have a QNAP and a Seagate NAS on my home network. Up to now i was able to access them via Windows Explorer (mapped network drives) -so as to transfer purchases and CD rips and do backups- without any issue. Since a couple of days I cannot do that any more . I've updated and when opening the app I'm shown two Mu-sos (I've only got one). Only the second option works. I was also asked to register my product, which I did on purchase, over a year ago. Apart from that I can't see any other issues.

I have had done a search on this. And some people were complaining that you cant merge albums. As i didn't see a fix for it in the thread i take that albums with 2 or more CDs cant be merge. They need to add a function so we can merge albums.

Hi, At present, my HDX acts as a ripper / server to my NDS, the music being ripped to, and stored on a NAS. I plan to have the ageing 2 X 400 Gb drives replaced with larger drives, and have the music copied to the new drives. Once done, the plan is to rip to the new internal drive, with the second one acting as a backup. My question is, having achieved the above, is there any way of additionally backing up to the NAS, simply as insurance against HD failure? Thanks chaps.

I had a chance to listen to the UnitiCore and UnitiServe in my system. NDS/552/300 into Harbeth SHL5+s. Sound Quality: The UnitiCore sounds a little more 'robust' - the Unitiserve a little more thin sounding. The best way to describe the difference is like you went from a 200/300 vs 250/500. Hello, im looking to sign up to a family deal for streaming. Not sure which provider i'll go with yet. Question is - is there anyway i can stream spotify, amazon music etc to my Naim uniti v1 (hi fi corner advised its not upgradeable to Spotify for example). Any help would be appreciated. Ps. My music library is running on a 4 drive RAID 5 NAS with an off site USB drive copy in my sister's garage. The NAS has completed a backup cycle to Amazon Glacier (duration 1.5 weeks). I think I'm now covered.

Dear Forum I've just moved to a new house, and unfortunately the master socket for the broadband is next to the front door, whilst my TV, PS4 and hi-fi aren't! I can try to put an ethernet cable (probably under the carpet) from the router, down the hall and into the lounge with a switch attached to then run cables to my hi-fi, etc., but am not sure whether to do this myself, or ask a carpet fitter to help, as I don't want to have parts of the carpet lift.
