Im guessing no ones heard an atom yet !?

Hi, Is there a known problem with the iOS app at present ?.All seemed well yesterday but today when I load a album it only plays the first track.It also won't allow me to forward to the next track manually and the pause/stop option is not working.when I do select a album it shows that the correct amount of tracks have been added. Its the same on 2 other iOS devices.I deleted and reinstalled the app with no luck. Thanks

I have been pondering about upgrading my mac mini solution to either a NDX/ND5XS+hugo or to look into other brands. As luck would have it, I missed an opportunity to buy some nice vivid audio K1's, but the seller showcased the Linn Akurate DS and I must say I was impressed. Sound wise I could not make a comparison as for too many variables (different speakers, pre etc) but the ease of use was hard to ignore. Tidal was easy, space optimisation and rumours of having Roon integrated soon.

I have one HDX from 2008 and this unit don't have digital BNC output, but only RCA and Toslink. I have ordered one cable BNC - RCA. Is this ok or should cable be RCA - RCA? In this forum all talk about BNC -BNC connection, but there are some early HDX which don't have this BNC connector.

I'm using an HDX, and have created a playlist, but want to save/export it so that i can pass it on to someone. Is this possible? how do i do this? Thanks

Are you in Spain with a NAIM streaming box? I have three choices here in the Alpujarras. Apparently, I can: 1 Have a phone line in to a router for WiFi (difficult, I'm outside the town limit and the phone company doesn't like it). 2: Get an Orange (apparently) "plug-in" device to an electricity supply wall socket that mimics a router (anybody got one of these?), or 3: Accept a radio signal from the town mast (?). Advice VERY much appreciated.

From one day to the other my Unitiserve had no IP Adress. Router is set to DHCP. I use a Power-LAN with a connected switch. The Unityserve is hooked to this switch. This combination worked well for more than 2 years now. Since today the Unitiserve has got no IP-Adress. All other hardware connected to the same Power-Lan and switch are working very well. Hi, apologies if my question has already been answered, and in which case perhaps someone can point me towards the answer. What has happened to the Queueing function ? The only option presented when I select an album or track is 'play now'. I can no longer add the album or track to the playlist, and on that subject, what has happened to the playlist options ? Would be grand if Chris Harris could follow up and elaborate on the Naim Roon implementation. A gracious forum member brought his rendu rig over and I’m sold. Certainly would love the implementation with my NDX and know it was around the corner.

While browsing and wondering what sources might be used that support aptX HD as input to the Atom (Apple iDevices do not even support the aptX codec never mind aptX HD), I came across these aptX HD headphones http://www.audioaffair.co.uk/audio-technica-ath-dsr9bt-bluetooth-wireless-headphones due in August. Now wondering what is the chance that the new Naim Unitis will act as an aptX source. Hmmm. How many of you would be interested in that option? Roger

i know that's not a new topic here, but I still facing some problems 1) i have set the fixed IP to the core and enable master browser in my NAS. However, still unable to import music via the app( ok to have copy and paste from NAS to Download folder). It shown the spinning icon without doing anything, it said my "shared folder" is 0KB. Anything I missed? 2) i used to rip CD into aiff format and completed the data work like album art via iTunes. However, after I copied and pasted the files...

Sorry if this has been answered previously but I have searched to no avail. The message I get is: "Firmware update details not available as Bonjour discovery is not working. Please check your network." There is no problem with the network. Nor with Bonjour. So where next?

I have read in some old threads that TCP windowing parameters affect sound quality (http://forums.naimaudio.com/topic/nd5-xs--different-nas-different-sound. The threads was closed so I can't reply there and I decided to start a new one. If TCP windowing affect sound quality is there any way to change the parameters and set them the best way in a QNAP NAS ? Thank you

The MuSo has kept losing the signal from R4 all morning. I had not been concentrating well enough to realise that the gaps were just gaps (very hard to determine when it is that aural paint drying of Saturday Live) and a time delay was building up. But at 12.11 the mid-day timecheck was played and that made me realise something strange had happened. What is causing the delay, or is it just living in Suffolk?

Has anybody compared the two DAC/streamer components in any way ? or played the NDS through a Dave and heard it sound better in any way (or not ) ?

Does anyone know if it is possible for Naim to update the N272 streamer to include chromecast and airplay in the future, if so, are they planned? This would make it competitive again with the new uniti series, in terms of streaming capability.

This is likely to be linked to Nick from Suffolk's issue, but for the bulk of the day I leave my mu-so tuned to Radio 2 and just recently it has started cutting out for a period ranging from 1 to 10 seconds, The mu-so is hard-wired, it is not my broadband as I have no issues listening to streaming radio on my computer or Roberts Stream - anybody else having similar issues ? Hi all, I have a US that I use to rip my CDs and store them in te US local disk. I have a few hi-res Album that I would like to copy on the US Disk, but how ? Connecting as a to the US folder from my MAC as guest only gives me Read access to the US folders. And i never figured out what the admin logon on the US is... Thanks Giorgio

hello Naimers, my first post - so: hello and thanks for having me here I am the lucky owner of a Chord Dave fed by a music server (Nimitra). I'm looking to get into the Naim world with a good preamp. I have ATC SCM 50 active speakers. Would a 252 or 552 DR be a good choice? what I'm after is the Naim sound signature and I read that the pre is a central part of the system to get it.

i have had this problem before but usually I switch my NDX off and my QNAP and it clears not this time. I have read the posts and turned every thing off including router for quite a few hours then restarted as some posts suggested to no avail. I have the Netgear switch GS105 installed as well, I am pulling my hair out has anybody got any ideas??

As a music lover not interested in tweaking everything to death and not in the market for 500 classic series but looking for a upgrade. Owner of a Superunity and a Naim fan and user for neary 20 years. But i do not have a good feeling about the proposed and stopped release of the new products. On the Dutch forum many are complaining about updates, app and netwerk issues and nobody is discussing music qualities anymore.
