Streaming Audio

Just connected my Apple Airport Express 2 to Dig 4 (Toslink) on my 272 and, whilst AirPlay plays OK, I get the message "Cannot reclock audio" on the 272 display.......? Any thoughts? KR, J

My system is temporarily down this weekend due to the failure of my eleven month old Netgear Prosafe FS105 ethernet switch. I went to access the UnitiQute this morning and the app could not find the room. Disappointing given the age of the switch, but these things happen. Are these units generally reliable? Another tip, those owning the QB,is to use some spikes on the underside plinth. Tried some today and must admit made a big difference. The bass became tighter with the benefit of a more open mid/treble. The spikes I used had flat washers meaning they were very stable, the spikes were fitted with their tips directly resting into the base of the QB. Hi Everyone, Just bought 2 products from Naim : the UnitiCore and the Mu-so Qb. Very happy about these products, that are working (almost) fine. Only one issue, with the UnitiCore: I can’t connect it to my NAS Synology. Strange thing is that the Mu-so accesses it without any problem (WIFI connection). Just bought a Harmony Elite. When I switch the TV on, Harmony automatically selects the Tuner input on my Nait XS 2 for sound output to speakers. So far so good. But if I activate system automation on my NDX (for volume control via the app), the XS 2 input switches back to CD (streamer input) on its own. I didn't find the manual very illuminating on how SysAutom works so please can anybody help?

Good chance I'm missing something obvious, but where have the shuffle and repeat icons and function moved to in the android app? I'm using the 2.0 app on a galaxy s6 with a mu-so. I could've sworn it used to be in the menu at the top right of the play queue before the update? Can someone please help? I'm too young for senior moments!

The display of my NDX has failed and I have two choices. Either I send it back to Salisbury for repair which will take ages and because of shipping will be expensive or I buy a tablet. What should I be looking for in a tablet? How big does the screen need to be? How important is the processor? What do I need to know?

Today my Core decided to stop reading the music in my playlists. All the playlists are empty. When I check the Music and Download folders the music is of course still there. It's just not populating my playlists anymore. I didn't do anything. The IP address has not changed. I even tried unplugging the Core and resetting my router. No joy. Anyone has any ideas?

i don't know and don't understand why there is no high end ssd nas. There is melco, aurender, innuos, unitserve , core...which are nas and also streamers. But just high end nas, to associate with streaming dacs as nds, ndx or other, i think they don't exist. It is curious. When naim nds is associated with unitserve or core in ethernet mode, we don't need the streaming part of the serve or core, just the nas ( and perhaps the ripping part). I just find the kstore ssd nas, but no reviews of it...

You'll notice in the above screen shot that I have two recordings of Vivaldi's Four Seasons. The second one is by Nigel Kennedy, yet it shows the cover of the Janine Jansen album. I've rescanned Asset, cleared the image cache and upnp cache and nothing changes. If I click on the second album it actually shows the Nigel Kennedy album, which plays fine. If I search by artist/album it also works fine. Apart from forgetting about it, does anyone have any idea what might be happening? And before...

I would like some advice as to how good Tidal and Spotify are. I use an HDX with NAC 202/Hi Cap and NAP250. Is Tidal etc the same sort of quality? Is the fact that the HDX is ethernet connected a problem for me adding a streaming device. And, finally, recommendations and is anyone out there selling one?

Probably bonkers. When I have a good listen I always go into the Settings on the app and turn off Auto connection . Stay Connected and Rip Mode. Thinking the same logic as turning off display mode on other kit applies. And always discerned a little lowering of noise that's probably from disabling stuff that's not needed. when ripping all this stuff is on, so data bases can find the info needed. Hi, I have just purchased the above NAS for streaming to my NDX. The reason I chose this particular NAS was 2 fold: It is the fastest 2 Bay NAS going. I would be able to swap the 2 Seagate drives over to the new NAS from my QNAP 219 PII. However this doesn't actually work. Despite the fact the QNAP supposedly has this functionality, When I click on "manage" I get a never-ending circle (egg-timer) which I presume of tells me that the drives are incompatible. Hello, my Uniti core tries to eject a CD that does not exist every few minutes with a noise :-(. Very annoying. Inserting a CD, ripping it and auto eject once finished works like a charm... Unfortunately the Uniti core simply tries to ejects the CD again and again. Period between pseudo-ejects varies. 3-5-7 Minutes. VERY annoying. Defective Uniti core? Malfunctioning firmware v1.3? I recently moved my NDX to a room which is served by a CAT6 cable which goes to the ADSL modem in another part of the house. Because I want to use the streaming capability and the Minim Server that I have running on my Mac in the Music room I needed to get a network switch. I chose a Netgear GS105 v5 5 port Gigabit switch. A quick one: New flat. I need a length of ethernet cable across the floor from one side of the sitting room (router) under a rug to the other (switch into NAS, NDX etc). Cat 6? Other? I bought a uniti core a couple of weeks ago with an nds, I am returning the core as it is one of the worst product launches I have never witnessed. In the magazines and on their site they claim it can be use as a CD player but it can't at this time, they claim we can edit but we can't, it is not compatible with a Samsung tablet and we can't do the back up at specific time. How do you copy music from a Nas to the Core?

I have a five year old Zen Vortexbox connected to a SuperUniti, but I will get Uniti Nova when it is available. So I thought if I should replace my Vortexbox also? I really like the new Innuos, but I will not have the great need for cd ripping. Maybe a Qnap Hs-251-2G could be a solution? Or wait and see if Qnap/Innuos are releasing new products?

So, as in the title. This used to happen infrequently and one of the main solutions was to restart either the UQ2 or my router. Since I updated to the latest app however, it loses connection loads of times a day (10's - dozens) and all it takes to reconnect is closing the app and reopening it.
