Streaming Audio

Hi all, Its my brothers birthday today and we are celebrating around his house this evening . He has a Muso, and he has asked me to take mine. We have many...many playlists on Spotify. The question is I don't think we can sync both Musos together playing from Spotify? Any thoughts or ideas?

My question is will I hear a difference if I was to re-encode my music into FLAC as opposed to ALAC (Applelossless)? I read somewhere that the Naim streamers can't read ALAC files in their native form, so to play them they have to effectively convert them on the fly. Does anyone know if this is accurate? The reason for asking is primarily because I have around 2 1/2 thousand CD's and the thought of re-importing them into FLAC fills me with dread Paul.

Everyone, i am using audirvana 3 plus with DAC V1 should I have volume control on the computer program itself? I've heard it disappears? Or not?

The on/off switch is hidden away on the back panel, which suggests that my newly acquired NAC-N 272 network player has been designed to be left switched on all the time (consuming a minimum of 21w, according to Naim's specifications). If this assumption is correct, does anyone know what reasoning lies behind that decision? David

From a couple of days Spotify does not work, I reset the Superuniti 2 times but without success, all its streaming capabilities are fine, UPnP, internet radio, Bluetooth but not Spot . This had already happened in the past but it was solved in a short, restarting the modem or the SU. Display show Error can't contact Spotify server Is there a way to fix it?

When I, in Tidal, am trying to play an album with Various artists, the Naim app locks and must be restarted. It works OK in the Tidal app. "Is there anybody out there" who has the same problem? Perhaps it is some kind of subfile problem (for those familiar with IBM AS/400).

Hi all, been ripping CDs for a couple of years via dB to QNAP NAS feeding my NDX. The rips go into artists folders which can then be opened to show individual albums in the folder. All fine and well. However, I recently upgraded to Windows 10 (from 7) which has lost all my PC settings including dB. I've reinstated the naming protocol to what I thought it was but now rips are not going into artist folders but are showing on the NAS/PC as individual tracks !!!. Can any dB users out there offer...

Google has failed me, and some may have tried or have opinions/interest... I'm currently road testing an Audioquest Jitterbug. So I just backed up Core's music to an external WD hdd. The hdd was formatted by the Core before the back up. When I disconnected the external drive and plugged it into my PC, I was unable to read the hdd at all. Is that supposed to happened? I was under the impression that drives formatted by the Core is in NTFS and should be readable by any windows PC. Can someone shed some light? Thanks.

Hello everyone. Just bought the Muso. Has anyone tested what the limit is on the USB FAT32 mass storage device are? Volume size? Folder & readable music files? My 256 GB flash drive works but I am trying to connect my FAT32 2 TB HDD but it won't read it. This HDD is my car stereo file player and most of the files are 24bit/192khz. I am bummed I can't just move this HDD from car to Mu-So.

I have the above equipment and cannot get the Uniti-Serve SSD to Rip to the shared folders that I have setup up in the Synology Ds 412+ Nas Drive. I made 3 folders calling them NAIM_RIP, NAIM _DOWNLOAD & NAIM_BACKUP. hello, i have a little problem: i want to tag some albums i have downloaded on my naim unitserve, because the photos of a few albums are missing. i go to the naim desktop client on my pc, the unitserve ( nssr) is selected. This evening, the majority of albums I choose in Tidal has the wrong order of tracks, and this includes albums I played before with the right order of tracks (as one would expect from a music streaming service!). Early next year we will be getting a "deep retrofit " done on our house. Basically going back to bare walls and (re) insulating. We don't need a full rewiring but I thought it's a good time to have some wired Ethernet around the house. What's the best way to do this?
