Streaming Audio

I currently have a Naim Unitilite & Neat Motive 2 speakers - due to kitchen / dining rm conversion I am planning on relocating the unitilite to my home office & changing to small wall mounted bookshelf speakers. I then plan on buying a Mu-so or Mu-so QB for the kitchen / diner. So I could do with the following advice: 1, Suggestions for small speakers (initial thoughts are Neat Iota) for the unitlite & 2, is the much difference in SQ in the mu-so models, if so is the difference...

Anyone got or seen an Acronova Nimby ripping box? Its fully supported (and recommended) by dbpoweramp and supports multi-disc batch ripping. around 500 notes only Am tempted to use this for ripping my cd collection

I am about to order a core. The suggested 2 drives are both pretty low capacity and the one thing that stands out is the Seagate PipeLine is a DVR/Surveillance drive. What 8TB drive would you suggest? Western Digital makes a 8TB (WD80PUZX) Purple line for DVR/Surveillance and Seagate has a 8TB (ST8000VX0022) would these make good drives for the Core? 2TB is very insufficient for my needs, I want to have an 8TB internal and 8TB external.

Hello, My unitiserve is stuckted in a database rebuilt process. After 24h, I shut it down. I connected it with a screen mouse and keyboard and ran setup with delete key. I choose option reset to optimised setting, and other option. But it still run database rebuild at startup. And I cannot stop that process. Once in the Naim program, Is there any combinaison of keys that enable us to manage processes and to kill that rebuilding process ? Thanks Jacques

Sorry, me again,,,I have just installed the "registered" (ie paid for) version of Asset on my laptop to stream to my MuSo as I like th sond of "Random Jukebox".....(which I haven't found how to do yet). Following previous advice from you guys, I've ripped my first "proper" CD in FLAC using EAC. All good so far! I have a UQ2 and System Audio Aura 1's in my living room that I just love, and decided upgrade my desktop audio a bit as well, settling on the Arcam Musos. If my office was any bigger I'd have gone for another set of SA Aura 1s, but the Musos are just that bit easier on desk space. I have noticed recently a number of NaimNet NNP-series amplifiers for sale. Can they be controlled with the Naim app, or indeed has anyone had success using them at all standalone outside of a NaimNet system?

I'm just recently back into hi-fi, and have not had a CD player for several years. Hello, I have Naim Uniti (the orginal) and I am using it with Naim StageLine. I connect it via Snaic 5 cable. Does anyone of you know if the new range (Star, Nova) will be able to accomodate StageLine in a same way as the current Uniti? I know that I can always buy a different phono stage and connect it via 'normal' analogue input but this would mean that my PhonoStage would become obsolete.

I have been meanwhile running MinimServer (a UPnP server) and upmpdcli (a UPnP renderer) for a little bit more than one year on a small, fanless microserver (a fit-PC3) under a minimal Debian system. QNap / Minimserver / android tablet I am sure this did not happen before:- e.g. Naim App / albums album cover pictures appear in rows of 5 - scrolled down to "L.... " - (title of disc) - opened up and listed tracks - changed my mind - touched the back arrow bottom of the screen - albums reappeared but at "I" - then would have to scroll down about 15 rows of 5 to get back to "L...." Had to disconnect my equipment the other day and neary s*** myself when it wouldn't power on turned out to be fuse in XPS. So now using spare and all ok Have read a few articles about fuses going but I want to try and minimise it occurring again, so want to be very clear on power off and on order I have NAC N 272 XPS and NAP 250 DR. Hello everybody, I have posted about this issue lately with not much response. I have tried to update my ndac for the first time with a sandisk memory stick. After doing so as instructed, all dac lights went on and stayed on freezed. Rebooting by pressing 1 and 3 or 1 and 4 as instructed did not change the "all lights freezed on status". I recently treated myself to a Qb for our kitchen/dining room and am much enjoying it. It picks up all the music that my HDX plays perfectly which is great but I cannot work out how to get it playing both HDX and Qb in sync as multiroom. Possibly this is because you cannot do this with the HDX as it is a hard disk player rather than a streamer? If it is doable then can anyone please give me a PC simpleton's guide as to how to do this. Thanks!

Although this is a music recommendation, I think its best placed in Streaming Audio as a streaming system tool. I've found an excellent free download with music that I found really good for testing/evaluating system SQ. Its available from HighResAudio "HRA Mixed Up Sampler 2015.1" a mix of different music & artists, you might not like the music (not your genre etc) & most will not have heard these artists before. Folks, I heard the DJ mention progrock.com now broadcast in 192 as well as 128. Try as I may I can only find the 128 stream in iradio on 272. Anyone know who to get it to pick the better stream up? cheers.

Universal Music has joined Warner in supporting MQA, making the prospect of Tidal Masters (MQA) playing on my Superuniti a really interesting. Given sub £500 streamers such as Bluesound have included MQA playback, the economics of this must be workable.

Hello, new in the forum, may be this has been discussed before. I bought a used Unitiserve SSD which I received 3 days ago. I connected it to my home network and to my Naim Dac, but the Naim Logo when I switch it on is flashing constantly and doesn't stop flashing. I have switch it off and on again, but the problem remains Can anyone give me some advice what to do? Dimitris
