Welcome to System Pics 2018.
To start things off, here are a couple of pictures of my setup. There have been some big changes over the past year; a 300 and a 555PS, and some extra shelves to accommodate them.

Since my main system (272/250DR) is still afloat on a sea of stray cables (awaiting electrician's visit next week), I thought I'd try something a bit different...

Love that!
Am about to pull the trigger on a pair of these (Dynaudio Special Forty), which I am currently demo-ing at home. The only thing that remains to be done is deciding whether to go for grey birch or this red...

Big fan of Dyns here. Those 40s should sound awesome with a 250. Add a REL sub and they'll be even better.

Lovely speakers, out of interest did you demo there competitor the Totem Sky’s? I own the tower version and they are incredible. When I was looking at stand mounts it was between the Special 40’s and the Totem Sky’s
o and grey birch! ????
I went with the Grey although had the red on demo and they do stand out think they would have grown on me if I had gone for the red

I think gray is a great choice. The red is stunning but I think it would grow tired of it drawing attention to itself in my room. My speakers are piano black and I think that's my favorite finish of speakers so far. Before I got them I considered getting the Contour 60 in Gray Oak High Gloss.
It was just by chance that they did the grey for me as our room was being decorated and colour was grey so they go well. Red does look good though very eye catching. You have made a good choice you won't be disappointed, I love mine can see me changing in a long long time.

Hi Popeye - I also demo'ed ATC SCM11 and 19, as well as PMC 25.21 and 22. My dealer doesn't do Totem as a brand but I pretty much fell in love with the Dyns as soon as I heard them, so that's good enough for me.

Very nice too. I have a lovingly restored Mk1 from 1980 so even older than my NAT01! My wife and I still remember oggling one as students back in the 1980s - Radfords in Windsor I think. Thear Technologies who did the restoration remember servicing mine for an 80 year old gent who lived in Ely. I even have the service notes, a pristine manual plus the original receipt for £600 or so which included the ‘frog eyes’ perspex Reel cover. Nice eye candy even when switched off

I have been looking for one of those covers for ages but people are asking silly money for them, £200+, and I think it looks cool without it anyway.

I rather like the red, Kev. It contrasts well with the “greenery” around it. Also, you can always have the walls painted!

Seems your comfortable with a bit of colour already. I think they look just perfect.

Indeed it does. You can find them on a certain auction site (as you say for silly money) but often the plastic bracket holding the whole shooting match on is either missing or broken. The B77 sound is phenomenal and despite the absence of noise reduction, negligible hiss too. Not bad for something made all those years back.

I always thought noise reduction was overrated once tape formulations improved to a certain point. I used to record cassettes for playback at home and in the car and they sounded much better when I bypassed the noise reduction circuits for record and playback.
Kev, I'd go for the grey too.
Heart says red, head says grey.
Go with the heart!
Kev - I like how the red Dyns look in your room. The red, yellow and green color scheme reminds me of the flags of several African nations.

Looks like spillage from another thread. LOL
I feel vibrantly passionate about grey.
No recent changes other than isolating speaker feet, just an opportunity for gratuitous photos of delectable vinyl & CD replay components:
The ultimate source, a 5kVA balanced power supply to neutralise asymmetric mains that makes Naim transforms hum so much:
Dynavector XX-2 on Vertere turntable:
Lots of Naim boxes (and some others):

There, back on track with the thread name! FT

"Faith" of course!
Foot tapper, a refreshing change to see a pair of ARTs that aren’t finished in car paint (mine are Lexus Pearl).
