As the original post is no more I thought I would start a new one.

Arrived today in the post:

2012 MOV RE 180gr

This like Quadrophenia and Live at Leeds through my parents have been with me my entire life. Every single track is brilliant. From 1968 -1978 the best British rock band bar none.

Lyn Stanley - Interludes - A.T.Music LLC 2x45rpm 1st press

This is the first time I have bought a record based solely on it's recording, mastering and pressing and having said that I would not have paid full price for it, hopefully I will love Lyn Stanley's voice but I bought this because she is a pet project of Bernie Grundman who recorded, mastered and cut the Laquers for this recorded personally which isn't always the case nowadays.

You should be well treated. The whole process of how they create this type of records was explained by them during the last high end show in Munich, you can read about it in my post about the show.

Hmmm, my original vinyl copy warped as I stupidly left it near a window and the summer sun took its toll....

Further secondhand copy had lots of groove wear.

So, 1/2 speed mastering double LP @45 rpm

First disc seems to have lots of rumble at the start of the disc.  Quite nice after that, but will have to listen more.

Also, finally received after 3 delivery attempts to full 'Lockers' from you know who - thank the lord for the thick inner cardboard protective sleeve as the outer box was a right macerated mess.

Bloody hell, what happened there! Time slowed?

Played side 1 at 45 rpm, and flipped to side 2 without stopping platter.

Listened to Burning Bridges which sounded quite 'strident' until Sylvian's vocals entered clearly at 3 1/3 - I never changed the speed or stopped the disc spinning - utterly spooky.

Love the cover art too, which looked a bit 'poncey' at the time, but the girls at school loved it.....

Hmmm No. 2:

Many Amazon reviews suggest disc 2 is warped - didn't notice eyeballing it before playing but definitely a little warped playing on the LP12.

Trouble is I am hearing things in Methods of Dance on side 1 of disc 2 that I'd not appreciated on older copies....maybe my old warped copy was supposed to be like that!

The 2018 Guthrie/Grundman/KB master. Just £16 from the local Sainsbury's (cheaper than anywhere else I'd seen). One of my fave Bushworks, so I'm looking forward to hearing how this sounds.

Utter bargain compared to prices generally, funnily enough I checked my local Sainsbury's the other day just in case and no KB remasters anywhere to be seen :-(. Have just forked out over £150 for the first 7 albums remastered, this vinyl reissue stuff seems a nice little earner.

Last year's Otis mono vinyl box was so good I thought I'd take a punt on Rhino's latest offering - Aretha's 1960s albums on Atlantic.

Comprises six albums: Aretha Arrives (mono) - Lady Soul (stereo) - Aretha Now (stereo) - Soul 69 (stereo) - I Never Loved A Man (mono) - Rarities From The 1960s (mono/stereo).

First impression - really nicelly done: good printing on the sleeves and authentic labels inside. Vinyl looks flat and clean.

Kate Bush - boxset 1. The price varies on Amazon a lot. I bought it at £67 delivered, but it's usually £85, to which it went back to a few hours after I bought it.

Lord of the Rings - 3rd boxset (green). I bought this too from Amazon via their global store for £83 delivered. It's usually £130 - £160. I haven't done this before, but it arrived quick, perfect and sealed.

I already own the AP remaster of this great record but for the few pounds I paid for this 1st press released a couple of years after the CD in 2004 I couldn't say no.

A firm favourite of my other half and though we owned the CD for many years I didn't really pay it much attention and apart from the obvious 'On and On' cannot remember any track on it.

This is a recent reissue released by Motown on double album.

I saw this for £18 in Sainsbury's while I was out shopping and while I already have a 1985 UK press, I remembered the write-up [@mention:1566878603942595] gave this 2018 reissue, so I thought... why not? It's Xmas, after all.
