Good luck today with the Spuds.
Will be watching it on Sky at lunchtime.
Are you going ?
Hi Ian - yes I went. A very good game, even if the ref lost control in the second half. The last 25 minutes or so were an absolute thriller - we were unlucky not to get a draw, but we were happy with our performance overall - even when, after Antonio went off with his hamstring, we completely lost our shape and composure.
Kev shame you didn't salvage the draw.I watched the first half but had to leave at 2-0.Glad the Hammers rallied in the 2 nd half.As you say encouraging.
Just watched the mastermind video - well funny the bit about the entire squad being underpayed and Kyle Walker now paying more in tax at City than Danny Rose gets in wages.Brilliant !
City goal jugganaut rolls on !
My girlfriend played me some Lamb a couple of weeks ago.Liked it especially the singers voice. What do you think of them ?
Sorry would paste a YouTube link " All in your hands " Live at Wercher 2004 but not very computer savvy at all.Cant work out how to even post pics here.I am sort of computer dislexic

Gosh. Now you're going back, Chris. Lorimer, Madeley, Bremner, Giles, Charlton (J), Gray, Cooper & co. That was some team, though I was never convinced by Sprake.
I think Gary Sprake will always be remembered for throwing the ball into his own net against Liverpool.
Yeah. I'd forgotten that sorry episode. As Soccer AM would say today 'Taxi for Gary!'
Strange how history repeats itself, or maybe it's just synchronicity, since the Ipswich goalkeeper had a Gary Sprake moment this very afternoon!
Oh, and the Mighty Whites remain at the top of the league ............... far too early for predictions, but, carry on like this, and we might be joining you chaps next season. MOT.

Enjoyed that video, Kevin. Much truth in that humour. I must find a Spurs fan to share it with.

Given Saints' second half fight back at St Mary's this afternoon a point each might have been fair. But the sterling efforts of Jones and Fellaini kept them out. Man U do know how to win games, credit to them.
Rousing from Saints but still not looking like they are creating much. Not sure why Pellegrino won't play two up top at home.
Quote of the week from the other Mauricio (ie. Pochettino) : "Sometimes it is good to suffer a bit as it means you are alive" after Spurs' victory over Kevin's lot.

Ian I have to say that City look pretty terrifying at the moment. As to your other question, yes I do like Lamb, I think I have one or two of their albums somewhere...
Very excited my business partners son is on the bench for the Arsenal tonight at Bate Borislov hope he gets on No 47 Charlie Gilmour.
Did Charlie get on, Bob?
Meannwhile the prospect of mis-firing Saints away at the Britannia doesn't thrill.
Kev nice result with Swansea the encouraging fight back with Spurs in the 2 nd half last Saturday is carrying on.I think West Ham will be fine - Hope so.
Obviously well Happy with City's performance at the Bridge it was never going to be easy going there. That KDB goal was awesome.Loved the bend on it.Even sweeter for KDB being ex Chelski.
Will be watching Arsenal - Brighton at Lunch ...3 points for the Arse ?
Wishing you a good Sunday
Ian, thanks for the wishes, same to you too.
A good result yesterday but a dire game. Carroll needs to be dropped as a starter, he has been poor this season and his presence means Chicharito is played out of position and he finds it difficult to score.
That KDB goal yesterday was majestic. Yes I also think L'Arse will take three points today.

That was the best performance I’ve seen from city. Not because they scored a hat full of goals, they didn’t. But they employed a new tactic, for city at least. LET’S TRY AND TAKE THE BALL OFF THE OPPOSITION.

No he didn't get on Christopher he is knocking on that door though.
Just driving back from the emirates we got 3 points but we could have scored more though
Awesome City performance against Stoke well pleased with the start of this campaign.Pep's really got them up a gear now and giving them so much more belief.
Great to see the Rags get nothing at Anfield.
Looking better for West Ham now.
Ian, Kevin Garside in today's i suggests that it is at Guardiola's City where the spirit of Sir Matt Busby lives on, the fizz-bang attacking football of Old Trafford of yore.
(Thought you'd like that).
Thanks Chris - I am an I reader myself and will give it a read - thanks.
Did you go to see Saints - Newcastle ?
Its very tight the lower half of the table but 9 points is'nt bad.
Yes Ian, I was at Saints v Barcodes . I sum it up by saying when Gabbiadini scored a goal from open play, Saints fans nearly blew the roof off.
With both teams equally bad at the back a draw was probably fair.
A very enjoyable read on the origin of the nickname 'Rags' btw.
Gutted over Aaron Roger's collar bone.
Hopefully won't affect his ability to take a knee, should he so choose.
Chris
Nice article the Kevin Garside in yesterdays I. Found it very interesting what he was saying about Peps style of tactics and Jose's.
Tonights Champions Leauge game for City against Napoli should be a cracker.2 clubs in excellent form.
No Sky at home so will be listening on the radio.Spurs will have a real tough one away at Real Madrid....another tasty game - hope Harry Kane does the biz
Hope your new venture is working out workwise
Thanks Ian, I really enjoyed KG too.
Thanks too about work. I'm doing every home game at Saints as 'second shooter' which I'm enjoying, being paid for, and getting published.
Yes, I'm hoping Kane does the business in Madrid and I see in today's paper, Zidane is being very complimentary about him.
Here's to some cracking football at the Etihad tonight...
I see the board at Leicester have today sacked Shakespeare..........4 months after giving him a 3 year deal. Is it me or are some of these owners complete numpties?
Comment on the BBC site:
Chelsea 3, Man City Old Boys 3
:-)))
Good game but Conte resorted initially to his native Italian defensive mindedness. Perm any two from the Hazard, Willian, Pedro trio behind Morata, or even all 3, and go for it. We looked far better for it in closing stages. Our first and their 2nd goals were top draw mind.
Very comfortable win for Brighton at the Bradydome this evening. Kevin-W must be very disappointed. Bilic won't last long at this rate, particularly in these days when boards seem particularly trigger-happy.
Oh Kev!
