Yep mine too. Always blame him for the detioration in my eyesight due the the background strip lights he used on this tour.
Michael McDonald - The very best of
Fleet Foxes - eponymous
First play of this CD, which reminds me of America (the band). I'm sure this could be quite good, but it's compressed to hell. The volume control is scarcely off the stop. Thankfully it only cost 43p.
Playing on Cassette on TDK AD - X C60 - Great Rock from San Fransico's Flamin' Groovies from 1979

Saw them as a support act to the Ramones very first UK gig at The Roundhouse. Can't remember much about them from that night as I was too excited to see The Ramones.
Ewemon,
I only saw them once at Dingwalls in London in 1987.They where superb and REM's Peter Buck and Mike Mills where standing 10 foot away with the BBC D.J Andy Kershaw as REM where playing Hammersmith Odeon in the next couple of days (superb gig).I wish I had said something to Buck and Mills and Kershaw but didn't want to bother them.
Wishing you a very Happy New with lots of magic musical joy
Cheers Ian
Shaving mirror released 2017 - This album is rooted in hard bop and comprises of a number of originals written in this style plus a smattering of covers from Thelonious Monk, Count Basie and Charles Mingus. Fine listen ????
Playing on Compact Disc - Brilliant debut from Oasis - Where do the years go ? .....

Happy New Year to you as well Ian. Funnily enough I was sitting next to Andy at a Natalie Merchant show. We had a good laugh and seemed like a nice bloke as he didn't know me from adam as they say.
I am also trying to remember when I saw the Groovies on tour after the Ramones gig but it escapes me. Their latest album at the time was being pushed by their Record Company and they were giving away tickets to gigs like confetti.

One of those albums I first heard in a record store that I immediately had to purchase.
Great rawk album and IMHO opinion I still think it is their best album.
Now playing......
Jan Garbarek - Paths, Prints
Jan Garbarek (tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone, wood flutes, percussion), Bill Frisell (guitar), Eberhard Weber (bass) and Jon Christensen (drums, percussion).
Streaming on NAS........... Kicking off this Wednesday morning with this fantastic quartet!
Queen - The Works
Aside from Radio Ga Ga, this is quite a rocky album from Queen, but my favourite track has to be the acoustic guitar track, Is This The World We Created...?
Now playing........
Jan Garbarek - Twelve Moons
Jan Garbarek (soprano saxophone, tenor saxophone, synthesizer), Rainer Brüninghaus (piano, synthesizer), Eberhard Weber (bass), Manu Katché (drums), Marilyn Mazur (percussion), Agnes Buen Garnås (vocals) and Mari Boine Persen (vocals).
Streaming on NAS.......... continuing on with Jan with'Twelve Moon'....... This is one fantastic album!
Double vinyl released 2007 - Great harmonies, inspired lyrics, plenty of Canadian geographical mentions, all contribute to Dustbowl Revival’s distinction as a top-notch album. ????
Playing on Compact Disc - Dark and moody and loads of Sub Bass and Liz Fraser....much to like
May 1995
Having just played The Works, I searched for the performance of Is This The World We Created...? from Live Aid on YouTube. I have the DVD set of that day, but it was easier just to look on YouTube.
I liked the comments posted after the video too, particularly the one which said this: Doctor: You have 24 minutes to live, what are you going to do? Patient: watch this.
Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti - Japanese SHM - CD import.
Need something to blast away those festive season cobwebs, and this fits the bill exactly.
LOUD! .............. obviously.
Jussi Lehtonen quartet - This time
Good hard bop jazz.
- Drums – Jussi Lehtonen
- Guitar – Jesse Van Ruller
- Organ – Mikko Helevä
- Tenor Saxophone – Joonatan Rautio
