On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.

Last year's thread can be found here:

I usually only listen to one song on this album, but for the New Year, trying to listen more thoroughly.  Enjoying this one!

The same with this one.  I love the track "Quiet Dog" but the rest of the album is intriguing.  I usually don't get along with rap but I like this one.

Happy New Year to you all.

One of the very best unsung records of the 1980's. Berwald went on to do a number of other very fine records.

Funny I have just ordered David Baerwald's Here Comes The New Folk Underground.

As you probably know his album Triage is one of great (unsung) albums of the 90's.

Indeed and Bedroom Stories is also well worth a listen. (And of course Baerwald is spelt Baerwald, not Berwald! Apologies.)

The best album from the group's imperial phase (1973-79). On a 1977 Japanese vinyl pressing. Woof!

The first part this morning was still with the end of the burn in Programme which I am running his break for my ND555, a delightful Mozart piano concerto...

A new year can always start with listening to a masterwork of smoothness...

Posted on: 01 January 2019 by Bert Schurink

Kept me stuck to the smooth playing. This is another one with a great deep bass...

Posted on: 01 January 2019 by Bert Schurink

An of course I could n’t let it go so continued with another one...

While still a bit tired of the late night, closing the eyes a bit while not feeling a sleep, that works well on this relaxing album...

Now back to active listening with a great cup of coffee...

Reminds to dig out a couple of his albums.

Again, in 24/96:

Silver Spoon

Keep On

The new single (out yesterday, though for some reason it hasn't turned up on Spotify yet), in 24/96. This and "Silver Spoon" seemed to have garnered the most favourable reception, which is rather gratifying.

I am also listening to a recording of a gig that Steven Wilson and him did on the tour to suport this album which should get a release and I do not know why it hasn't.

if a few of you haven't heard of him he is the other half of Blackfield.
